L. A. Banks is the recipient of the 2008 Essence Magazine Storyteller of the Year award has written more than 40 novels and contributed to 12 novellas. She writes within the genres of romance, women's fiction, crime/suspense thrillers, and paranormal lore. Banks is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton undergraduate program with a Masters in Fine Arts from Temple University, and she is a full-time writer living and working in Philadelphia. Jonathan Maberry is a New York Times bestselling and multiple Bram Stoker Award-winning author whose novels include Ghost Road Blues; Patient Zero, which has been nominated for a Bram Stoker Best Novel Award and is in development for TV by Sony Pictures; The Wolfman, based on the Universal Pictures film starring Benicio Del Toro; and most recently The Dragon Factory. The author of many award-winning books of nonfiction, Maberry also writes a variety of projects for Marvel Comics, and is a founding member of the Liars Club. 

Edward Pettit is a freelance writer, book reviewer, professor, film presenter and literary provocateur. As Philly Poe Guy, he gives public lectures about Poe and Philadelphia Gothic. His work has been featured in the New York Times and newspapers and magazines around the world, as well as on TV and radio. A member of the National Book Critics Circle, the Mystery Writers of America, and the Philly Liars Club, Pettit also writes the Ed & Edgar blog, chronicling his literary adventures at bibliothecary.squarespace.com.

Dennis Tafoya was born in Philadelphia and dropped out of college to work as a housepainter, hospital orderly, and EMT before starting a career in industrial sales. Dope Thief, his first novel, was published in May 2009. He is a member of the Mystery Writers of America, the International Thriller Writers, and the Liars Club, a Philadelphia-area writers group. His second novel, The Wolves of Fairmount Park, will be released in June of 2010. He lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
