Ralph Nader is one of our country's greatest champions of consumer safety and rights--he is responsible for major federal consumer protection laws such as the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Freedom of Information Act. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. In the tradition of social activist fiction, Nader's first novel imagines a cadre of wealthy individuals who become a driving force in the United States to organize and institutionalize the interests of its citizens.
