Annie Leibovitz began working at Rolling Stone in 1970. By the time she left in 1983, she had shot more than 140 covers and helped define the signature look of the magazine. A photographer for Vogue and Vanity Fair, Leibovitz has also created iconic advertising campaigns for American Express, the Gap, and the Milk Board. Her notable portraits include Queen Elizabeth II, a very pregnant Demi Moore, and John Lennon and Yoko Ono, photographed mere hours before Lennon’s assassination. Her work is exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide.
