Best known as one half of the 70s comedy duo Cheech and Chong, Tommy Chong is an actor, writer and political activist. Along with Cheech Marin, Chong recorded seven gold comedy albums (including the Grammy-winning Los Cochinos) and starred in seven movies, including Up In Smoke, the top grossing film of 1978. He sits on the board of NORML, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, and is the author of The I Chong: Meditations from the Joint, a collection of essays written during his nine-month imprisonment that hit both the New York Times and Los Angeles Times bestseller lists.
