Melissa Fleming is Head of Communications and Chief Spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Her TED talk on the subject of refugees has been viewed more than 1.3 million times, and her advocacy has helped bring worldwide attention to the Syrian crisis. She is a frequent contributor to The Guardian, the New York Times, and The Washington Post.
