Jeremy Scahill is an investigative journalist and the author of the bestselling books Blackwater, an exposé of the powerful and controversial private army, and Dirty Wars, in which he revealed the grim consequences of the clandestine battles that make up the new paradigm of American warfare. He was a writer and producer of the Academy Award-nominated documentary-film adaptation of Dirty Wars. A two-time recipient of the George Polk Award, Scahill has served as a correspondent for Democracy Now! and a frequent contributor to The Nation. With Glenn Greenwald and Laura Poitras he founded The Intercept, an online magazine dedicated to fearless journalism. His new book details the 14-year drone killing campaign conducted by the U.S. government.
