A professor of law and history at Harvard, her many honors include the National Humanities Medal and a prestigious MacArthur “Genius Award.” Onuf was the longtime Thomas Jefferson Foundation Professor of History at the University of Virginia, known for his profound Jeffersonian scholarship.
