“One of the most gifted graphic novelists of our time” (Wired), Adrian Tomine has a cult following for a variety of his acclaimed work. Perhaps best known for his long-running semiautobiographical comic book series Optic Nerve, he has also done many illustrations for The New Yorker, Esquire, and Rolling Stone, among other publications. His graphic novel Shortcomings was a 2007 New York Times Notable Book. In six interconnected morbidly funny stories, Killing and Dying explores loss, identity, and family dynamics.

Ben Lerner is the author of three poetry collections, including the National Book Award-nominated Angle of Yaw. His first novel, Leaving the Atocha Station, was a 2011 finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award, and his essays and criticism have appeared across a wide spectrum of periodicals. In 10:04, a “near-perfect piece of literature, affirmative of both life and art” (The Los Angeles Review of Books), Lerner wrestles with mortality, fatherhood, and a beset New York on the edge of underwater oblivion.
