Over an illustrious decades-long career, Sandy Tolan has produced hundreds of documentaries and feature stories for National Public Radio and Public Radio International, and has also written for more than 40 newspapers and reported from dozens of countries. Focusing largely on global issues, racial and ethnic identity, and conflict, he has won more than 25 international journalism awards. He is also the author of two books, Me and Hank: A Boy and His Hero and The Lemon Tree, a finalist for the National Book Award. Children of the Stone tells the true story of the transformative power of music in a Palestinian refugee camp.
