Norman Lear | Even This I Get to Experience
Prolific writer and producer Norman Lear is the creator of some of television’s most loved shows, including All in the Family, Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, Good Times, Maude, and others too numerous to list. A longtime supporter of First Amendment rights, Lear is the founder of People for the American Way and Declare Yourself, organizations devoted to encouraging political engagement. He has been nominated for an Oscar and won four Emmys, a Peabody Award, and the National Medal of Arts for his venerable body of work. From his childhood to his WWII bombing missions to his television legacy, Even This I Get to Experience is a memoir of Lear’s 90 unforgettable years.
