Bill T. Jones | Story/Time: The Life of an Idea
“A dancer of extraordinary grace and beauty” (The Guardian), Bill T. Jones is also one of America’s most celebrated choreographers and artistic directors. The creator of more than 100 works for his own dance studio, the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, the prolific Jones has also directed and performed with many of the world’s leading arts organizations, including the Berlin Opera Ballet and the Alvin Alley American Dance Theater. He is the recipient of a MacArthur Award, a Kennedy Center Honor, and multiple fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. In Story/Time, Jones reflects on his life and art through the creation of a dance work inspired by modernist composer John Cage.
