Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The name in Fraktur, along with flowering vines and a star shaped flower, is within a heart in the center of the document. It is surrounded by leafy vines of flowers. The text in Roman script is below the heart. A tulip is in the top center. The entire document is surrounded by a decorative border, with scalloped decoration at the top. Small drawings, often lacking inscriptions and referred to as bookmarks by collectors, were given by schoolmasters to their students as rewards for good behavior and scholastic accomplishments.
