Was baptized in the Evangelical church in the morning at eleven o’clock after the morning sermon, on August 10, and has received the name Philipp Friedrich.

Hand-lettered, hand-colored. The main text in Fraktur with name and date added in script, is within a large heart in the center of the document. The remainder of the text, with the first phrase in Fraktur and the rest in script, is in and below a frame in the lower center. The text frames are surrounded by a variety of flowering vines. In the upper center is a small heart with protruding flames. Above it is the symbol of God’s all-seeing eye in a triangular surround encircled by emanating bursts of light and a ring of clouds.
Genealogical records indicate that Philipp Friedrich Schoch was born and lived in Germany.
