Notes:
Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The main text in Fraktur is within an arched frame in the center of the document. Next to the text are two flowerpots with flowers. A sun with a face is in the upper center. A verse in Fraktur is above the arch. The bookplate and first four pages have been removed from a copy of the Mennonite hymnal Die kleine geistliche Harfe der Kinder Zions (Lancaster, Pa., 1870). This Fraktur is listed in the catalog as FLP B-1007; however, it is housed as FLP 1218.
Notes:
Several Bucks County artists incorporated distinctive spiral or swirl motifs into their fraktur. This is one of the latest examples associated with the school, and is probably associated with Bedminster or Hilltown Townships.
