Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. In the center of the document is a tall flower. The text in Fraktur within a rectangular frame is in the lower portion of the document. The entire document is framed by a decorative border. The text is Matthew 12:36.

This drawing is one of a group formerly attributed to Abraham Dirdorff.  Dirdorff is now thought to be the owner rather than maker of the Vorschrift inscribed with his name.  For another example by this hand, see FLP 341.

Small drawings, often lacking inscriptions and referred to as bookmarks by collectors, were given by schoolmasters to their students as rewards for good behavior and scholastic accomplishments.
