Translation:

Elisabeth was born in the year of Christ 1787, on the 5th of September in Limerick Township, in Montgomery County, in the province of Pennsylvania. The father was Georg Scheffi and the mother Margaretha, a born Weinreich. After a few days she was baptized by the honorable Mister pastor Dallecker. The sponsors were Peter Pittig and his wife Catharina. Upon maturity she was instructed and confirmed in the Evangelical Reformed religion by the honorable Mister Pastor Herrman. 

I am baptized in the blood and death of Jesus who purchased me as his possession, that I may serve him during my life time with holiness and righteousness as it pleases him. I will then live happily here and also in the other world.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur is in the center of the document. It is flanked by two columns that are decorated with flowers. Above the text are several flowers as well as a person’s head with wings shaped like leaves. In the upper corners are stars. On the left side is Eve with an apple in one hand. On the left side is Adam. Both are standing in front of trees. In the lower corners and center are various flowers.
