Katharina Glöckner was born in the year 1817, the 30th September at 9 o’clock in the evening in the sign of Gemini in Miles Township, Centre County, in the state of Pennsylvania. She was baptized the [blank]th [blank] by Pastor Kessler. The sponsors are his parents themselves as follows [blank]. The parents are named Anthony Klöckner and his wife Sarah, Georg Minnig’s married daughter.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The central text in Fraktur is within a rectangular frame in the center of the document. It is surrounded by leafy stems of small flowers as well as large tulips. Daniel Otto was formerly known as the Flat Tulip Artist.
