Notes: This page begins the feast for Saint Ignatius (Feb. 1). The script on this page was done in a new hand and the ornate pen work initials were executed in a different style and manner from those in the rest of the book. It is also clear from a study of the book's binding structure that this is an added page, inserted into the text after the book was originally bound. This addition may have been made after the book changed hands in order to fulfill the liturgical needs of a new church.
