Notes: This manuscript, which contains devotional literature and prayers translated into Dutch, was probably made by nuns for their private devotional use. The inclusion of works by Henry Suso, who wrote devotional texts that were popular among female religious, suggests this, as does the artwork, which has much in common with a style referred to as Nonnenarbeiten, the German word for "nuns' work".
