Devonshire Terrace.
Tuesday Fourth July 1848.
My Dear Lady Lovelace.
I am going to look at a house at Folkestone tomorrow morning, and may, possibly, go to Hythe and Sandgate, and not get back before Thursday foreoon. Therefore, as I have the pleasure to be engaged to you for that evening, I think I had best make half past six on Thursday, my next time of appearance.
Very faithfully Yours
Charles Dickens
