Notes: The complete text of this work by Horace was either not included when the original manuscript was first produced or it was removed at a later date. Emulating the style of Humanistic script, a modern scribe Graily Hewitt added the text in 1924 at the request of Sydney Cockerell, a collector and one of the great historians of medieval manuscripts. Cockerell owned the manuscript before it came to the Free Library.
