Structural changes in 1982 model Chrysler LeBaron convertible from base two-door coupe provide strength when roof is removed. These include: (1) front floor pan reinforcement, (2) and (3) door reinforcements, (4) reinforcements in A-pillars, (5) unique wishbone-shaped “Torque Tube” in rear floor plan, (6) new, reinforced rear quarter inner panels, and (7) support struts and redesigned shelf in rera seat area.
