My Dear Mitton
They are the damndest rascals in the World, one and all. If we do not trounce them, all I can say, is, that the English Law in these matters is even worse than I take it to be. And it does not need to be that.
We had a corresponding case - corresponding I mean to that of the Liverpool Albion - with a Birmingham paper once. I do not remember the exact circumstances, but I know they made submission. I will go carefully over the Piracy, and let you have it on Monday. Sometime on that day, I will certainly come down. The parcel shall be sent on to you, the first thing on Monday Morning. You may perhaps think it worth while to ask Chapman and Hall to tell you exactly what occurred.
The passages you have marked, don't seem to me as important as they do to you. If the Carol don't fix them, nothing will.
