Notes: This initial begins the antiphon for Vespers of the feast of the Purification of the Virgin (Feb. 2), "Nunc dimittis domine seruum tuum in pace ..." (Now send, O Lord, your servant in peace). It was illuminated by Antonio da Villafora, a Paduan illuminator whose activity can be documented from 1469 -1511.
