Detroit--Introduced in 1971, the classic Eldorado Convertible shows the crisply sculptured individual front and rear fender treatment. Rubber impact strips are available as an option on the vertical ends of the rear bumper for added bumper bar protection. The center theme in the rear is defined by the isolated rear deck and bumper. A new option for the Eldorado Convertible in '72 is a hard platic boot cover which provides a neater appearance and is convenient to install. New wood-like carvings enhance the instrument panel. The ride character of the Eldorado is softer and quieter while the precise steering and strong directional characteristics of teh front-wheel drive are retained.
