 Kansas City, Jas. March 11--Idled by Gas Shortage-- New automobiles line the final assembly line at the General Motors plant here today after the company halted production. The stoppage, which idled about 1, 500 workers was brought on by an acute gas shortage. Thousands of homes in the midwest were without heat due to diminishing gas supplies, a result of the blizzard which swept through the area.
