Plastic Auto

Chula Vista, California- Production of road test models of a plastic Bantam car, the Bobbi-Kar, has begun. To be tested in January, the car will weigh less than 600 pounds. Its plastic body will be supported by a tubular steel chassis. The new car will be powered by a two-cylinder aircooled motor and will be produced in three models: a two-passenger roadster, a two-passenger commercial car, and a four-passenger sedan.
