Notes: "When this photograph was made the La Pierre House had just been taken over by the LaFayette Hotel, extreme left, and was soon to be remodeled to match that hotel. The building on the corner housed the Adams Express Company on the upper floors and a grocer at the street level."--OPEP, p. 173.
