Exploring Music and Food Through the Senses - Caribbean Edition
Culinary Literacy Center at Parkway Central Library
This family friendly interdisciplinary series will take participants on a journey into the dance, music, and food of Caribbean culture.
We will learn how to prepare authentic Jamaican rice and peas and engage our senses within the harmonious sounds of Reggae music using a portable record player and other resources from Parkway Central’s Music Department.
Participants will then be given the opportunity to expand creatively by making our own music and learning more about the styling of Jamaican culture.
Come share your experiences and enjoy generous tastings in the Culinary Literacy Center at Parkway Central Library.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Register for this FREE program at https://www.eventbrite.com/myevent?eid=71525232897.
