Art Explorers: Origami
Children's Department at Parkway Central Library
Jill Saull, local artist and origami enthusiast will guide us to create multiple types of origami models. This is an interactive and fun, hands-on workshop suitable for school-aged children and their caregivers. This event will be held in the Story Hour Room, within the Central Children's Department.
The Art Explorers series is brought to you as a part of the programming for the exhibition Kaleidoscope: Mixing Shape, Color, and Motion, which can be seen in the 2nd Floor West Gallery of the Parkway Central Library, from December 1st through March 7th. Visual artists draw upon core formal elements of art, such as shape, color, and motion, to convey their vision. By modifying and adapting these building blocks, creativity flourishes. This exhibition encourages you to experience the works on display, identify these elements and consider the ways they are used to express ideas and imagination.
