Ever wanted to try your hand at composing music? Join the Free Library and the acclaimed PRISM Quartet with special guests Diane Monroe, Ursula Rucker, and Tyshawn Sorey for the first in a series of free, hands-on workshops.

No experience is required—these sessions are open to teens and adults at all levels. You don’t even need to read music!  Participants will compose new works that will be performed live in public concerts at the Free Library. To take part, applicants must commit to all four workshops within their assigned series and attend the corresponding concert.

Space is limited! To make room for as many people as possible, we ask everyone to complete a short application. Apply by September 15, 2025
