Social Science and History Department at Parkway Central Library
Part III: Ancestral Paper Trails in Federal and Probate Records
Uncover the many ways your ancestors may have interacted with the federal government through records such as Census, immigration, military, Freedmen’s Bureau, Freedman's Bank, and maps. This session will also explore local sources, focusing on the valuable records created at the time of an ancestor’s death—including wills, estate files, and administration records—to help you piece together your family’s story.
This program is available both in person and virtually.
