A Turned Up Book! With Sea Macleish
Art Department at Parkway Central Library
Sign ups will open Monday, April 28th at 12:00 P.M. Check back here for the link! Due to the popularity of these free classes we are unable to admit everyone who wishes to participate. In order to expand access we will randomize final selection of participants instead of first sign-up, first admitted.
This unusual “ledger” book form is simple, fun, and adaptable. It can be used for poetry, photographs, journals, to-do projects. It’s a vertical wall hanging structure, about 3”x9” with a front and back cover and interior pages. Participants will create their own collage covers and also experiment with drawn colored ink patterns and cut waxed kite papers to create a variety of effects. There’s a lot of room for improvisation, enjoyment, and personal creativity.
All materials and tools will be supplied, but you are welcome to bring any of your own tools and supplies.
