I Wish to Say: Write a Postcard to the President
Parkway Central Library
On the day after the first State of the Union address, dictate your messages to the U.S. president in the lobby of Parkway Central from noon to 2 PM. This free, all ages public program will be led by Sheryl Oring, whose work is currently featured in the “Secretary to the People” exhibit at the library.
Messages will be transcribed onto a postcard using a typewriter and carbon copies of the messages will be incorporated into Oring’s growing archive. Postcards with each message will be sent to the White House.
Join us for this unique immersive experience that uplifts civic engagement. Participation is first come, first served.
