Equity in Public Education | Bridging Blocks: A WHYY Community Conversation
Parkway Central Library
This event will be held in Parkway Central's Skyline Room - please take the gold lobby elevators to the 4th Floor.
In 2023, a Commonwealth Court Judge ruled that Pennsylvania’s underfunding of school districts is unconstitutional. In response, state lawmakers in 2024 approved more than $1 billion in state funding for K-12 public schools. Will the investment be enough to improve student outcomes? What opportunities are being missed to improve Philly schools? How do we ensure all students have access to an equitable education? Join WHYY News Community & Engagement team for Bridging Blocks, a civic dialogue series in partnership with The Free Library of Philadelphia.
