Free Library and Philadelphia Museum of Art Collaborate on Book of War

A new exhibition opened this past Saturday at the Philadelphia Museum of Art . Showcasing treasures from the John Frederick Lewis Collection of the Free Library's Rare Book Department, The Book of War: The Free Library of Philadelphia's Mughal Razmnama Folios will be on view through December 9, 2007. Featuring elaborately illustrated folios from a single Mughal manuscript known as the Razmnama (literally, "Book of War"), dated to 1598-99, this exhibition marks the first time since 1923 that all 25 of the Free Library’s pages are being displayed together.
