In celebration of National Voter Registration Day and Welcoming Week, this free event is your chance to connect, learn, and help shape Philadelphia’s future. Meet City representatives and community partners, explore helpful resources, and build connections that foster a city where everyone feels informed, supported, and empowered.

Through interactive workshops, resource tables, and meaningful conversations, participants will gain valuable knowledge, discover new opportunities, and strengthen the connections that make Philadelphia a more welcoming community.

• Location: Heim Center for Cultural and Civic Engagement at Parkway Central Library

Workshops

• 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. → Thinking Like a Historian with Museum of the American Revolution: Use objects, documents, and critical thinking to uncover stories from the past.
• 12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. → How Philly Works with Committee of Seventy: Learn how the city government operates and how to be an effective advocate for your community.
• 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. → The Meaning of Citizenship with The Welcoming Center: Explore diverse perspectives on civic identity and what it means to be a citizen today.
