On Friday, May 30, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Parkway Central Library's Field Teen Center will host their Second Annual Alternative Prom!

This year's theme is Spellbound: A Night in the Enchanted Forest. Get ready for an unforgettable night filled with magic, music, and memories! Teens ages 12–18 are invited to enjoy an enchanted evening featuring a live DJ, catered dinner, and festive decor that brings the forest to life. Capture memories with professional photography and a whimsical photobooth, and prepare for other fun surprises throughout the night. Dress to impress and let the enchanted forest cast its spell on you!

This event is FREE to attend. Each attendee must fill out a ticket request form. Once you submit your form, wait for a confirmation email from the Field Teen Center staff. If you are waitlisted, a staff member will contact you if a spot opens up!

Where is the Prom?

The prom will be held in the Skyline Room and Terrace on the Fourth Floor of Parkway Central Library (1901 Vine Street). 

What to Wear

Come dressed however you feel your most fancy and fabulous! From formal wear to enchanted forest vibes, express yourself! Shoes must be worn at all times during the event.

Do I Need a Date?

Nope! Come solo, with friends, or however you like — this night is all about celebrating you!

Bringing Guests

Each person must fill out their own individual ticket request. No ticket = no entry.

Important Reminders

• Coats and Bags: No lockers or secured storage available. Please bring only what you need. Large bags may be subject to search.
• Age Requirement: You must be between 12 and 18 years old on May 30, 2025. Bring proof of age, like your Free Library card, school ID with birthdate, driver's license, or official paperwork.
• Parents/Guardians: Adults are not permitted inside the event space. However, there will be a comfortable waiting room with light refreshments available at the library.

Can't Make It?

If you have a ticket but can't attend, please let us know ASAP by calling 215-686-5395 or emailing teencenter@freelibrary.org. Feeling sick? Please stay home and contact us using the same info!

About Photography

Consent for photography is handled during registration. If you opt out, you’ll receive a special bracelet at check-in to let our photographer know.
