Find Free Public Internet Access With the Philly Free Wi-Fi Finder
By Bridget G.
Finding free, publicly accessible Wi-Fi networks in Philadelphia just became much simpler with the City's Philly Free Wi-Fi Finder tool. The Wi-Fi Finder features an up-to-date map and list of locations with free City Wi-Fi and computer access.
Using the tool, you can search by zip code or by location to see what's available closest to you. The Wi-Fi Finder includes all locations that provide public Wi-Fi at City locations, including Free Library locations, recreation centers, older adult centers, City buildings, and even outdoors at some City parks. At most locations, Wi-Fi access is only available during hours of operation.
Since October 2024, per the City of Philadelphia's Verizon Franchise Renewal Agreement, the Office of Innovation and Technology and Parks and Recreation have been surveying and installing gigabit fiber and Wi-Fi at locations around the city. With over 180 Wi-Fi sites planned through 2026, you can view the progress of the City's site activation plan online in real time.
