The Free Library of Philadelphia’s Lucky Loans program makes award-winning books like Paul Lynch’s Prophet Song and Bonnie Garmus’s Lessons in Chemistry available to patrons at no cost!

Visit your local Free Library branch, look for the green “You’re in Luck” sticker, and enjoy as many as two selections for up to two weeks. These non-renewable loans are an exciting opportunity to access free, best-selling books without the lengthy wait.

Thank you for the Lucky Loans program. I didn't know about the program and was ecstatic to find a copy of "Fourth Wing" calling to me from the top of the New Arrivals bookshelf at Parkway Central. At the time, I was number 905 in line for 206 e-copies of the book. I grabbed the copy so fast I heard the air swoosh. Ha! I love the Free Library. Thank you for the program, and for all that you offer to the citizens of Philadelphia. Have a good day.
