Support the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation on Giving Tuesday

By Kate C. RSS Tue, November 28, 2023

Happy Giving Tuesday! This worldwide movement is an opportunity for people everywhere to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and support their communities. Here at the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, it’s an opportunity to write your library story.

"You can have all kinds of programs in the library. It’s about bringing the outside into a small space like this."

"Libraries are not only a safe place; they’re an exciting place."

"There’s so much I love about walking into this building … I just love every bit of it."

"We’re a public library, and we want the people to know that these resources are freely available to them."

So with the spirit of giving in the air, please take a moment to reflect on what the Free Library means to YOU, and consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation. A donation of any size will get you a Free Library keychain, perfect to take along with you as you run your errands this holiday season.

In addition to your donation, you can make a difference by telling your friends and family; sharing our posts on social media using the #GivingTuesday hashtag, or even starting a social media fundraiser! That’s right — if you’ve got a birthday or other special occasion coming up, you can start your very own crowdfunding campaign to encourage loved ones to support a cause near and dear to your heart — and we hope that’s us! You can do so on Facebook and Instagram, or by creating a group fundraiser or going live!

Thank you for keeping the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation in mind, today and every day!
