Did you know that you can get a free, professional headshot done at the library? Every first and third Thursday of the month from 1:00–3:00 p.m., the Free Library's Business Resource and Innovation Center hosts free headshot sessions.
Read on to get all the details and answers to your questions about the headshots program.
Who are headshots for? Anyone! Headshots are a valuable addition to any professional portfolio. They’re a great way to make your LinkedIn profile stand out to potential employers and colleagues. From business professionals, to job seekers, to students, a headshot can help you elevate your professional image.
Do I need to make an appointment ahead of time? No! Headshot appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend coming closer to 1:00 p.m. to get your name on the list as our photographer takes his last appointment at 2:50 p.m.
What should I wear? Whatever you feel comfortable wearing! Many patrons chose to wear business or business casual attire and some may choose to wear the clothes they might wear to work. For example, teachers may wear t-shirts repping their schools or a med student may choose to wear their white coat.
What if I need to check my hair? Luckily, our photographer comes equipped with a small vanity mirror so you can make sure you look your best! The Ground Floor also has restrooms, including accessible, all-gender facilities.
Join us in the Business Resource and Innovation Center on the Ground Floor of Parkway Central Library every first and third Thursday of the month!
