Do you celebrate National Library Week? We do. It's an excellent time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians, and all of the people who work at libraries across the country. A talk and reception by the author of A Splendid Friend, Indeed, the popular children’s book about a special friendship between a polar bear and a goose.

National Library Week - Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival
Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 10:00 p.m.

A bilingual story time with the 2007 Cherry Blossom Queen.

National Library Week - Bookmaking Workshop
Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 5:30 p.m.

Make a book to take home.

National Library Week - Story Time
Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 6:30 p.m.
Chestnut Hill Branch
For children in preschool through 2nd grade. Come listen to exciting picture books about libraries. Make your own bookmark and enjoy some light refreshments. To pre-register, call Mrs. Brady, Children’s Librarian, at 215-685-9290.

National Library Week - Picture Book Read-A-Thon

A continuous reading of favorite stories by staff and invited guests.
