Ravens on the Laptop: A Virtual Summer Celebration with the Raven Society!

By Laura K. RSS Mon, June 22, 2020

Summer might look a bit different this year, but the Library’s resources are here to stay. Between the 100th anniversary of  Summer of Wonder, virtual Pride programming, and digital Author Events, there is so much to do online at the Free Library this summer! In the spirit of celebrating all things digital at the Library, the Raven Society’s annual summer kick-off celebration is moving from the Rooftop to the Laptop.

Join the Raven Society for Ravens on the Laptop on Friday, June 26 at 7:00 p.m. as we celebrate summer at the Free Library! This year’s event features "Roaring 2020's" entertainment in partnership with the Library's Special Collections Division! Grab a drink (BYO), play a virtual choose-your-own-adventure game featuring 1920s objects from the Library's Special Collections, and listen to the east coast's premiere roaring 20's jazz band Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society. Register by emailing rsvp @ freelibrary.org to get a link to the party!

Can’t come to Ravens on the Laptop but want to show your Library love? The Free Library relies on the support of generous individuals to provide programs and services across our 54 locations throughout the city. As a result of the societal and economic disruption caused by COVID-19, more individuals find themselves in increasingly vulnerable circumstances and in need of the programs, resources, services, and information that only the Free Library can provide.

Please consider making a gift or joining a membership program today to help ensure that we can meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
