Voting in the Pennsylvania Primary Election on Tuesday, June 2, is going to be different in Philadelphia this year, as the Philadelphia Inquirer recently noted, because of COVID-19. Despite the unique circumstances, five of our neighborhood libraries will again be designated as voting locations. These libraries remain closed, but will be open on June 2 only for voting.

• Falls of Schuylkill Library | 3501 Midvale Avenue
• Haddington Library | 446 N. 65th Street (and Girard Avenue)
• Lawncrest Library | 6098 Rising Sun Avenue (and Comly Street)
• Lovett Memorial Library | 6945 Germantown Avenue
• Wyoming Library | 231 E. Wyoming Avenue (and B Street)

Additionally, the following three locations will serve as a ballot drop-off location for people who have already requested and received a mail-in ballot.

• Blackwell Regional Library | 125 South 52nd Street
• Wadsworth Library | 1500 Wadsworth Avenue
• West Oak Lane Library | 2000 E Washington Lane

Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Philadelphia will have 190 polling places in this primary election, a 77% reduction from the 831 it had in last November's municipal election. A map and search tool created by the Office of the Philadelphia City Commissioners will help you identify your voting location for this election. Voters are urged to wear face masks, according to the City Commissioners, and plastic gloves will be provided. 

Voting is an important form of political and civic participation. Primaries this year will determine the presidential nominees, Congressional Representatives, State Representatives, and Attorney General, as well as the state Auditor General and Treasurer.
