Dublin 2019: An Irish Worldcon announced the finalists for the 2019 Hugo Awards on April 2.

The awards are the most prestigious in the science fiction genre, honoring literature and media as well as fan activities. Named for Amazing Stories editor Hugo Gernsback and awarded since 1953, they are one of speculative fiction’s biggest prizes. They are administered by the World Science Fiction Society and are selected by members of the World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon).

The 2019 Hugo winners will be announced at this year’s WorldCon 77, which will be held in Dublin, Ireland, between August 15 and 19.
