December 2017 Early Literacy Calendar

By Sarah S. RSS Fri, December 1, 2017

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, whether you celebrate Hanukkah (December 12 – 20), the Winter Solstice (December 21), Christmas (December 25), Kwanzaa (December 26 – January 1), or simply a peaceful turning of the New Year. December is a great time for family, food, and gifts!

Here’s a fun wintery Animal Memory Game from National Geographic Kids that parents and children can play together inside when it is too cold to go outside!

And here's some seasonal songs the whole family can sing along too all month long : )

This month's Early Literacy calendar and links, compiled by Free Library of Philadelphia's children's librarians, is full of great suggestions that parents and caregivers can engage in with their children to help nurture and develop necessary Early Literacy skills!
