Free Library Digital Collections Artwork Reproductions Available Through Art.com!
By Victoria G. Mon, March 6, 2017The Free Library of Philadelphia has digitized over 41,000 items from our extensive collections and is constantly adding more every day. Current collections include Charles Dickens, the Fine Arts Collection, Historical Images of Philadelphia, and an extensive Map Collection. Many of these images are available for reproduction through Bridgeman Images, who provides a central resource of fine art and archive footage for reproduction to creative professionals. Our images are used everywhere from book covers to advertising campaigns, interior design to editorial content, as well as on websites, mobile apps, and more!
Now, you can order your own piece of artwork from the Free Library's Digital Collections! We've partnered with Art.com to offer fine art reproductions of original works from our permanent collections and special exhibitions. The images are printed using state-of-the-art printing technology and materials. The high-density pigments provide rich and long-lasting colors and tonalities. Canvases are made from cotton, with a matte, water-resistant coating, while paper is acid- and lignin-free, designed to preserve color and detail. Other options include canvas and art on metal prints, as well as custom framing.
Each purchase benefits the Free Library of Philadelphia, so check us out for your next holiday or birthday gift for the library lover in your life!
