Stay Cool at the Free Library! Extended Hours for Tuesday, August 16

An excessive heat warning has been extended through 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, for the Philadelphia area.

Numerous Free Library locations will serve as cooling centers, where residents can get out of the heat and into an air-conditioned space with access to books, computers, wireless internet, and other library amenities.

The Free Library locations listed below will be open for extended hours today, Tuesday, August 16.

Charles L. Durham, 3320 Haverford Avenue - open until 7:00 p.m.
Frankford, 4634 Frankford Avenue - open until 7:00 p.m.
Independence, 18 South 7th Street - open until 8:00 p.m.
Katharine Drexel, 11099 Knights Road - open until 8:00 p.m.
South Philadelphia, 1700 South Broad Street - open until 8:00 p.m.
Welsh Road, 9233 Roosevelt Boulevard - open until 8:00 p.m.
Wynnefield, 5325 Overbrook Avenue - open until 8:00 p.m.
