- We're through the looking glass here, people: Google sets up feedback loop in its image recognition neural network - which looks for patterns in pictures - creating hallucinatory images of animals, buildings and landscapes which veer from beautiful to terrifying. #cool
- In other Google news, Gmail has added an official "undo send" button. And all those who type faster than they can think rejoiced!
- Technical.ly Philly reports that Philly.com is being redesigned once again, this time by local digital studio Happy Cog and design shop SuperFriend.ly. You can check in on their progress and provide feedback via their blog beta.philly.com.
- In literary adaptation news, Starz is moving ahead with is adaptation of Neil Gaiman's 2001 fantasy novel American Gods!
- In the latest Net Neutrality news, The Washington Post reports that federal court has refused to block the FCC’s Net Neutrality rules from taking effect. The decision clears the way for the FCC to enforce its ban on the slowing and blocking of Web traffic by ISPs.
- When Apple debuted their new iOS 9 software earlier this month, one of the new features in Apple Maps displays real-time public transit information for Philadelphia – one of only six U.S. cities to get the enhanced version!
- The LITA (Library and Information Technology Association) blog announced nine new writers who would be contributing to their site. I've already read more than a few posts that are very educational and entertaining. Highly recommend adding them to your RSS feed!
- Wired reports that Microsoft will release Windows 10 in late July. Should we remain cautiously optimistic or filled with dread?!
